Toronto: Manufacturing & Characterisation of Engineering Materials

16 June to 27 June 2025.

This summer school is a two-week course which will prepare you internationally for your future career or internship abroad at the end of your present programme in Denmark.

The summer school is intended for Chemical and Biotechnical Science students. Top-up students with a background in laboratory science from the Bachelor top-up in Chemical and Biotechnical Technology and Food Technology can also participate.

You will complete a two-week research project focused on the preparation, characterisation, and materials engineering of solar cell devices for sustainable energy production and earn academic credit while working on a team project. This is a hands-on programme and will enhance your lab skills, all while you collaborate with chemistry and engineering students from a global partner institution.

Furthermore, students will learn about:

  • fabricating and characterising different types of photovoltaic devices
  • assessing their quality, longevity, and potential toxicology
  • polymers, nanomaterials, and advanced instrumentation

The course will be taught in English by lecturers and professors from the Seneca and Business Academy Aarhus.
