Aarhus: Cross platform app development

The summer academy 'Cross-platform app development' is a 2-week course. The purpose of the elective course is to provide knowledge, skills and competencies in the analysis, design and implementation of cross-platform mobile applications with React Native.

By the end of the summer academy, students will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Describe the architecture of a cross-platform application
  • Deploy a basic native app using a cross-platform framework
  • Develop basic user interface components to display information and receive user input
  • Access native device hardware features using a cross-platform library
  • Utilise media, gestures, and notifications in an app

Lectures will be based on theory and practical work. The entire course will be taught in English by lecturers and professors from Seneca College, Business Academy Aarhus and Ephec.

The course will take place in Aarhus.  

Who can join?

The course is offered to select AP and top-up students studying IT at Business Academy Aarhus. The summer academy is ideal for students who want to incorporate a different academic or cultural experience into their educational profile.

Practical information

Insurance

To participate in a summer academy, you must have insurance covering health and repatriation (travel to your home country in case of emergency or illness). The Blue and Yellow cards do not cover health expenses. 

Allergies/medical conditions

The Academy cannot guarantee that your allergies (food or otherwise) or any existing medical conditions can be accommodated. It is your responsibility to research your destination.

International students will be staying in Aarhus.

Financial issues

Business Academy Aarhus finances the tuition fee for the course. You must pay for all other expenses in connection with your stay in Belgium.

If you are offered a place on this summer academy, a non-refundable payment (about 1.000 DKK) must be paid in mid-March to ensure your registration. This amount will cover meals and some relevant trips.
