Responsible design thinking: destination and date TBA

The summer academy 'Responsible design thinking' is a 2-week course that substitutes one of the electives during your programme. The summer academy is built around the theme of responsible design thinking, where students and faculty explore how design thinking principles can be applied responsibly to address sustainability challenges in a business context. By participating in this summer academy, students will gain valuable experience in cross-cultural teamwork, sustainable problem-solving, and collaboration with companies.

Through this summer academy school, we aim to change students' behaviour (transformative learning) through knowledge, learning, skills, motivation, and competencies to act toward and for a sustainable future. The summer academy will teach sustainability frameworks, train design thinking processes, and develop mindsets that promote transformative learning.

You will get knowledge, skills and competencies that are highly attractive in today’s labour market and develop your sustainability competencies and enhance your ability to become change agents. Therefore, the summer academy will be developed and implemented based on the four complementary and interdependent competency areas, also known as entrepreneurial dimensions:

  • Action
  • Creativity
  • Interaction with the external environment
  • Personal attitude

Where and when?

This summer academy will be held together with European partners. The dates and destination will be announced as soon as possible.
