Check whether you should join an unemployment insurance fund, even if you have a job
You can only receive unemployment benefits if you are a member of an unemployment insurance fund and have registered as unemployed on Jobnet. In connection with signing up with an unemployment insurance fund and the job centre, you will be invited to meetings where you will receive help with your job search.
On our job portal, Candeno, you can also find graduate positions. Companies that advertise positions on the portal are familiar with the competencies of Business AcademyAarhus’ students, as they have previously had interns. Therefore, the positions are targeted at graduates from the Academy. They may not be advertised anywhere else, so fewer candidates will be competing for the job.
EAlumne is a network for both former and current students at Business Academy Aarhus
EAlumne is perfect if you want to keep in contact and expand your network. If you want new knowledge and inspiration at exciting and free events. And if you, as a graduate, want to give something back, for example, as an internship host, a mentor or a case company.
You will be able to meet companies and get lots of inspiration for your job search. In addition, there are career days in many other frameworks. Ask your unemployment insurance fund and the job centre, who are usually informed about these.
You can also find internship jobs on other job portals, such as:
If you are a member of an unemployment insurance fund, you can also talk to them about your job search and career opportunities.
The job centre also offers this and usually has workshops you can attend too.
LinkedIn is not actually a job portal, but positions are often advertised, and some companies pay to advertise on LinkedIn too. There are also companies and recruiters searching for new employees on LinkedIn.
It is therefore always a good idea to have an updated profile on LinkedIn and state in your profile what you are looking for and how you can be contacted. You can also follow companies that you find interesting and follow their posts.
Most unemployment insurance funds have LinkedIn workshops and can help you with your profile.
On Candeno's online platform, graduates can get inspiration and help with job searches and concrete suggestions for preparing CVs and applications. The platform also offers online feedback on your applications and CV, as well as on your job search in general. Online feedback is available every weekday.
There is a reason that everyone talks about networking, as more than 50% of all positions are filled via networks.
Therefore, it is a good idea that you are open about your job search and tell family, friends and acquaintances about what you can do and what types of positions you are applying for. You can get help to work more consciously with your network in the Inspiration Network on Candeno.
Also, ask how you can better use your network during meetings with your unemployment insurance fund and job centre.
When you apply unsolicited, you don’t have to compete with 50 other job applicants for the same position. It may take a little courage and a little detective work to search unsolicited, but it often pays off.
There is a lot of good advice for a job interview - so much that googling this can create more confusion than clarification. On Candeno, there is an inspirational universe with a good and clear introduction to a job interview, and you can see more on International Aarhus: Read more here
