The Academy Council is your opportunity to have a direct say on your daily life as a student at Business Academy Aarhus. The Academy Council's primary job is to create good relationships for all the students, across all classes, programmes and nationalities at the Academy.
The Academy Council normally holds two meetings per semester.
The Academy Council's purpose is to represent the Academy's students in the formal bodies - this includes nominating two candidates for the Academy's Board of Directors.
The Council meets annually with representatives from various departments in the Academy for hearings and discussions of topics such as student satisfaction surveys, policies aimed at students, facilities, the canteen etc. Furthermore, the Academy Council receives input for relevant interdisciplinary topics directly from students. These topics are then added to the agenda for the next meeting. Students also have the possibility to present topics the Academy.
The Academy Council works closely with the Student Councils on each programme. The Academy Council receives interdisciplinary topics form the Student Councils if these need to be known by the Academy's management. Before the annual hearings with the Academy's management team, the Academy Council will warn each individual Student Council so that they have time to deliver content for the next hearing.
The Council's members strive to represent as many programmes as possible. Student Councils or the programmes nominate members for the Academy Council. Elections for chairperson and the other posts in the Academy Council are held at the third meeting after the summer holidays (usually around December).
