The study place is only yours if you accept it on nemStudie (in the message ‘Offer of study place’) before the deadline:

• Tuesday 8 July 2025 at 23.59 (Digital Concept Development)
• Wednesday 30 July 2025 at 23.59 midday (Multimedia Design)

When you have accepted your study place, you will receive a new message ‘Confirmation of study place’ in nemStudie with more information about your study start.

When arriving in Aarhus, you must be issued with a CPR number (only for students living in the municipality of Aarhus) and a EU residence document (only for EU/EEA students).

If you arrive around the semester start, you will be invited to partake in a “CPR day”. Here you can apply for both your CPR number and residence permit at the same time and the process is streamlined for students.

We will explain the procedure in much more detail at the Orientation Day

If you need medical attention in Aarhus before you have received your CPR number (and therefore your own GP), you can do the following:

During office hours (8am -4 pm):

1. Phone Aleris Aarhus: 3637 2500 (address: Brendstrupgårdsvej 21, 8200 Aarhus N)
2. Go to the Red Cross Clinic (get information in the pdf)

Evenings, weekend or public holidays:

1. Call the emergency doctor: 7011 3131 (address: Palle Juul-Jensens Boulevard 161, Entrance J3, 2nd floor, 8200 Aarhus N 2)
2. In emergencies: 112

Join the event for new international students at Business Academy Aarhus - and be prepared for studying in Denmark.

Friday 22 August 2025 13.30-16.30 we will have an Orientation Day for all new international students on our Multimedia Design programme.

We strongly recommend that you participate.

In addition to these joint events, activities specific to your programme may also be planned. 

Business Academy Aarhus - together with Student Counselling (SRG) - provides the digital course StudylifePLUS for all our students.

The course is for you if you experience difficulties with concentration and memory, have fluctuating energy and motivation levels, or have problems with social and academic communities.

With the course, you can develop effective coping strategies that enhance your learning and well-being, even when encountering challenging situations along the way.

You must bring your own laptop to classes.

We recommend a laptop PC or a Mac.

Tablets and Chromebooks cannot be used as the required applications cannot be installed.

Requirements for PC:

• Processor: Intel i5, Ryzen5 or similar/better
• RAM: 8 GB or more
• OS: Windows 11
• Harddisk: 256 GB SSD

Requirements for Mac:

• OS: Latest MAC OS
• Harddisk: 256 GB SSD

As a student at Business Academy Aarhus, you will get free access to the Microsoft Office package for your computer. Get guidance here

New students must create a password and log in to our IT systems at home before study start.

You can only log in once you receive your temporary password about 1 week before study start. The message with your password will be sent via email or Digital post (if you have this).

If you receive SU, you can get a discount on your daily transport between your place of residence and Business Academy Aarhus.

The public transport discount is called 'Ungdomskort'. If you do not have the opportunity to use public transportation, you can apply for other kinds of transportation discounts.

You can apply for an ‘ungdomskort’ at ungdomskort.dk with your MitID.

You can apply from 10 August 2026.

Do you have a functional impairment – e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety, brain injury, visual impairment, etc.? Then you can apply for SPS (special paedological support).

You must apply as soon as possible – and well in advance of your study start – as there may be a long processing time.

As a full-time student at the Academy you will receive a student card.

Your student card is your identification when you are at the Academy. You must use the student card every time you print/copy. Your student card is also used for identification at exams.

Your student card is also a key card that gives you access to Business Academy Aarhus’ buildings outside of normal opening hours.

In addition, you can use your student card for other situations when you need to prove that you are a student - e.g. when you want to get student discounts on public transport, at museums, cinemas, bars and at many other places.

During the first weeks of your programme, you will be given a time slot when you - together with your class - must get a photo taken for your student card.

The student cards will be distributed per class from Monday 8 September 2025.

There are clear rules for copying and sharing textbooks - regardless of whether they are your own printed books, e-books or borrowed books.

Here is an overview of the rules: 

• You may copy an entire printed book, you have bought or borrowed – but only for your own use
• You may scan 30 pages (however max 20%) of a printed book you have bought or borrowed
• You may print an entire e-book, you have bought yourself from a bookshop or publisher – but only for your own use
• You may print 30 pages (however maximum 20%) of an e-book you have borrowed
• If you digitise a printed text, the same rules apply as for e-books
• You may share digital texts (e.g. e-books or scanned printed texts) with your fellow students via for example Canvas - but still only 30 pages (however max 20%) of the entire book
• Remember that an e-book and audio book, etc. have the same copyright as software. This means that your access to the material is personal, and therefore you must not share any material electronically (either for free or for a fee).

Please note that when the material specifically states that it may not be copied (e.g. Standards from Dansk Standard), it must never be shared - not even in printed format.
